disney's ANIMAL KINGDOM LODGE

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a unique resort experience complete with over 200 animals and bird roaming just beyond your balconies on four gorgeous savannas.  The amazing pool area gives you the feeling of being in a beautiful oasis in the middle of the savanna.  Guests can participate in exciting animal programs to learn about the amazing animal residents of the resort and gazing out over the grounds will give you the feel of being on your own African safari.

The main lodge and its adjacent rooms are called Jambo House.  The DVC section of the resort is referred to as Kidani Village.  Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is an 1186-room resort (in the Jambo House section).  There are an additional 458 villas located in the Kindani Village (which is a Deluxe Villa Resort) located near the Animal Kindgom theme park. 

Typical rooms are 344-381 square feet and have a maximum occupancy of four persons. The standard guest room of the Animal Kingdom Lodge offers one king bed and a daybed or single sleeper or two queens and is offered in a standard, pool view, or savanna view.  The pool view standard and the savanna view is also available in a one queen and one bunk bed option.     

The Animal Kingdom Lodge also offers a one or two bedroom club level suite option.  The one bedroom suite sleeps six guests and comes with two queens and a queen sofabed.  The two bedroom suite sleeps eight guests and comes in two configurations: one king, two queens, and one queen sofa sleeper or one king, one queen, one bunk bed, and one queen sofabed.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge offers guests an amazing assortment of African-inspired restaurants and lounges, as well as standard American fare for pickier eaters.  At Jiko-The Cooking Place guests can endulge in glorious meals with vibrant spices, dishes prepared in wood burning ovens, and enjoy South African wines to compliment their meals for dinner.  Boma - Flavors of Africa serves breakfast and dinner buffet style in an atmosphere inspired by Africa's open air marketplaces.  Sanaa is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serves exquisite East African cuisine overlooking the Sunset Savanna.  Grab a snack to go or enjoy a quick meal under the canopy of banyan trees at The Mara.  Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge offers a variety of bars and lounges to enjoy your favorite cocktails, wines, and beers at Cape Town Lounge and Wine Bar, Sanaa Lounge, or Victoria Falls Lounge.  For guests who want to sip their livations overlooking the Arusha Savanna head over to the Uzima Springs Pool Bar.  The Maji Pool Bar serves sandwiches and salads for lunch along with amazing signature drinks.

The main Pool, the Uzima Springs Pool, is an 11,000 square foot tropical oasis facing the Uzima Savanna.  The pool is zero entry and is surrounded by large canopy tree and Floridian plams.  There is a 67 foot long waterslide.  The second pool area, Samawati Springs, located in the Villas area, features a 128 foot long waterslide.  The pool area also includes Uwanja Camp, a water playground with three distinct zones to please kids of all ages.  Observation Station is geared for children ages 4 and younger and features cargo crate climbers, games and a bubbling geyser.  At Departure Zone, geared for children 5 to 7, features a leaky water tower and Africian irises that squirt.  Base Camp is geared for children over the age of 8 and kids can douse each other with water cannons.

The resort also offers a playground, an arcade, movies under the stars, and an evening campfire.  Adults will enjoy the sauna and facial searvices at Zahanati Massage and Fitness Center.

Disney's Contemporary Resort is the iconic A-frame ultra modern hotel that is best known for the Monorail gliding through the lobby.  This resort was one of the two original Disney World resorts.  The Contemporary Resort boasts two 9-story garden wings and the Bay Lake Tower.

Both standard rooms and suites are offered in the main resort building.  These rooms are 422 square feet and are some of the largest on property.  The decor is inspired by Disney and Pixar's The Incredibles.

The standard guest room of the Contemporary Resort offers two queen beds and a daybed or one king bed and a daybed and is offered in a resort or water view category.   Standard Rooms accommodate 5 guests (king accommodates 3 guests).  

The Main Tower rooms offer two queen beds and a daybed or one king bed and a daybed and is offered in a standard or theme park view category.   Standard Rooms accommodate 5 guests (king accommodates 3 guests).  

The Contemporary Resort also offers one and two bedroom suites.  The one bedroom suite offers two room options (1) one king bed and a queen sofa sleeper and a twin sleeper chair or  (2) 2 queen beds (or one king) and 1 day bed and 1 queen sofa sleeper.   One Bedroom Suites accommodate 5 guests (7 with the 2 queen option).  The two bedroom suites also offer two room options (1) one king and 2 queen beds and a queen sofa sleeper or (2) 4 queen beds and 1 queen sofa sleeper.  These suites accommodate 8-10 guests.

Disney's Contemporary Resort resort offers guests different dining experiences.  Steakhouse 71, a casual dining restaurant, offers breakfast, lunch and dinner featuring food inspired by Walt Disney's favorites.  Chef Mickey's offers breakfast and dinner character dining experience with Mickey and friends.  California Grill is open for dinner where guests can savor market-inspired dishes while overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon and the Magic Kingdom.  The Contempo Cafe offers American-fare breakfast, lunch and dinner with views of the monorail passing by.  Contemporary Grounds offers your morning java and pastries to go.

The main Feature Pool offers views of the marina and white sand beaches and features a 17 foot waterslide.  The resort also offers a quiet leisure pool perfect for all ages. 

The resort also offers a playground, an arcade (The Game Station), and jogging trail.    The resort offers movies under the stars,  boat rentals, tennis, basketball, evening campfire, fishing, and volleyball.

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa encompasses Victorian elegance mixed with modern sophistication.  This lavishly gorgeous resort is on the resort monorail line, just one stop from the Magic Kingdom.  This resort overlooks the Magic Kingdom and the evening fireworks are visible from the grounds and some of the resort rooms.  

There are 900 rooms in the resort.  Both standard rooms and one and two bedroom suites are offered at the resort.  These rooms are 440 square feet.  Each room is decorated in turn of the century Victorian styling.  The Grand Floridian also offers Villas for larger families.

This resort offers guests several exquisite dining experiences.  Victoria & Alberts, is a fine dining restaurant offering exquisite culinary creations for dinner.  1900 Park Fare offers breakfast and dinner character dining experience with your favorite Disney friends.  Citricos, with its beautiful Mary Poppins Returns decor, is open for dinner and guests can savor Floridian cuisine with a Mediterranean flare.  Narcoosees offers a dinner menu featuring seafood dishes in a waterfront venue.  Grand Floridian Cafe offers your breakfast, lunch and dinner menus featuring American dining options in an English Victorian setting.  The resort also offers several bars/lounges and pool side bars for indulging in your favorite cocktails.

Celebrate the spirit of the islands at DIsney's Polynesian Village Resort surrounded by lush tropical gardens,  This resort is one of the two original resorts opened in 1971 and has been a Disney-fan favorite for over 50 years.  The resort is styled in South Seas decor with tropical gardens, lush palm trees, bamboo tiki torches, waterfalls, and island decors. The Polynesian is a monorail resort and just two stops away from the Magic Kingom (EPCOT is accessible by transferring at the Ticket and Transportation Center). 

Disney’s Polynesian Resort is an 847-room resort located on Seven Seas Lagoon. The Great Ceremonial House is the center of the resort, serving as both lobby and focal point of the area.  Rooms are located in one of 11 buildings called 2-3 story longhouses. All rooms are accessed through interior hallways.   The Polynesian also offers Villas and Over-Water Bungalows.

Typical rooms are 415-476 square feet and have a maximum occupancy of five persons. 

There are king sized beds available in some rooms as well.  Suites are located exclusively in the Tonga longhouse. They can accommodate between four and nine people.

The standard guest room of the Polynesiann Resort offers two queen beds and a daybed or one king bed and a daybed and is offered in a resort, theme park, or lagoon view category.   Standard Rooms accommodate 5 guests (king accommodates 3 guests).  

The Tonga Longhouse one bedroom suites offers two queen beds and a daybed.  The Ambassador VP and King Kamehameha Suites offer a king bed, two queen beds and a queen size sleeper sofa and accommodate 8 guests.

The Polynesian Resort offers Over-Water Bungalows that accommodate 8 guests.  The sleeping configuration is one king bed, one queen bed, one queen pulldown bed, and two single pulldown beds.  These bungalows offer two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, living and dining room, washer and dryer, and a private deck with a plunge pool.

Disney's Polynesian Resort offers guests different different Polynesian and South Seas dining experiences.  Ohana, a casual dining restaurant, offers breakfast and dinner featuring Polynesian favorites.  Ohana is home to a breakfast character dining experience with Lilo and Stitch.  Capt. Cooks is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner where guests can savor South Seas cuisine.  Kona Cafe offers Asian inspired fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Kona Island offers your morning java and pastries to go, as well as desserts and sushi later in the day.  Enjoy a Dole Whip at Pineapple Lanai.  The resort is also home to several bars/lounges offering your favorite beers, wines, and tropical cocktails.

The main Pool, the Lava Pool, features a towering volcano with a waterfall and a 142 foot long waterslide.  The Lava Pool also has a nearby lounge and bar that offers refreshments and snacks. The Oasis Pool is a tranquil pool surrounded by lush gardens

The standard guest room of the Boardwalk Inn offers one king with or without a daybed or two queen beds with and without and a daybed and is offered in a resort or water view category.   Standard Rooms accommodate 5 guests (king accommodates 3 guests).  

Club Level Rooms come in a variety of layouts of either one king, two queens, or two queens and a child bed and sleep up to 5 depending on layout.  A Deluxe Club Level room accommodates 6 guests and offers two queens and a queen sofa sleeper.  Garden Suite Club Level rooms offer one king and a sofa sleeper and accommodates 4 guests. 

This resort offers guests several amazing dining experiences from quick service dining to full service restaurants.  Flying Fish Cafe is a full service sustainable seafood eatery offering exquisite culinary creations for dinner.  Trattoria al Forno offers Italy's culinary classics for breakfast or dinner.  Boardwalk Deli offers breakfast sandwiches, pastries, sandwiches and deli favorites for breakfast, lunch or dinner.  Grab your favorite ice cream at Boardwalk Ice Cream or a funnel cake at the Funnel Cake Cart.  If you are wanting some adult beverages head over to Belle Vue Lounge, a quaint 1930s style sitting room, the AbracadaBar where colorful and magical cocktails await, or grab a margarita at BoardWalk Joe's Marvelous Margaritas.  If you are enjoying the pool deck, grab your favorite wine, beer, or frozen cocktail along with a burger or hot dog at Leaping Horse Libations located near the Luna Park Pool.  The BoardWalk Inn also has its very own Pizza Window where you can grab your favorite slice and dine on the patio.  Your morning java is served best at Carousel Coffee where you can grab delicious coffee drinks, teas, and pastries.
