Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a unique resort experience complete with over 200 animals and bird roaming just beyond your balconies on four gorgeous savannas. The amazing pool area gives you the feeling of being in a beautiful oasis in the middle of the savanna. Guests can participate in exciting animal programs to learn about the amazing animal residents of the resort and gazing out over the grounds will give you the feel of being on your own African safari.
The main lodge and its adjacent rooms are called Jambo House. The DVC section of the resort is referred to as Kidani Village. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is an 1186-room resort (in the Jambo House section). The main Pool, the Uzima Springs Pool, is an 11,000 square foot tropical oasis facing the Uzima Savanna. The pool is zero entry and is surrounded by large canopy tree and Floridian plams. There is a 67 foot long waterslide. The second pool area, Samawati Springs, located in the Villas area, features a 128 foot long waterslide. The pool area also includes Uwanja Camp, a water playground with three distinct zones to please kids of all ages. Observation Station is geared for children ages 4 and younger and features cargo crate climbers, games and a bubbling geyser. At Departure Zone, geared for children 5 to 7, features a leaky water tower and Africian irises that squirt. Base Camp is geared for children over the age of 8 and kids can douse each other with water cannons.
The resort also offers a playground, an arcade, movies under the stars, and an evening campfire. Adults will enjoy the sauna and facial searvices at Zahanati Massage and Fitness Center.

The Yacht Club Resort is the sister resort to the Beach Club Resort and these resorts share many amenities.
There are 630 rooms in the resort. Both standard rooms and two bedroom suites are offered at the resort. Standard rooms are 380 square feet. Each room is decorated in a nautical theming. The Yacht Club also offers two bedroom suites for larger families, as well as club level rooms which come with the extra amenty of access to the Regatta Club.
The standard guest room of the Yacht Club Resort offers a couple configurations: one king, one king with a daybed, two queen beds, and two queens and a daybed and is offered in a resort or water view category. Standard Rooms accommodate 5 guests (king accommodates 3 guests).
The Yacht Club Resort also offers two bedroom suites. The two bedroom suites also offers two king and a queen sofa sleeper. These suites accommodate 6 guests.
This resort offers guests several delicious dining experiences. Ale & Compass Restaurant is a classic gastropub inspired eatery featuring Yankee comfort foods and seafood classics for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Market at Ale & Compass serves up hot and cold offerings with grab and go convenience for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Yachtman Steakhouse is a New England styled steakhouse which serves premium dry-aged beef, fresh seafood and signature drinks for dinner. You can dine with Minnie and her Friends at Cape May Cafe for breakfast (at the Beach Club Resort). Crew's Cup Lounge is the place to be for refreshing beverages, pints, and cocktails along with a selection of tasty menu items. Ale & Compass Lounge offers a cozy atmosphere with great wine and snacks. If ice cream is what your heart wants, head over to Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club Resort and savor your favorite milkshakes, malts, or the Kitchen Sink while you listen to the oldies on a classic jukebox.
The main feature pool, Stormalong Bay, is three acre water wonderland featuring a sand bottom pool and a lazy river. Explore a life-size shipwreck replica and slide down one of the highet waterslides at Walt Disney World. Shipwreck Pool is the kiddie pool - complete with its own mini waterslide. Stormalong Bay is shared with the Yacht Club's sister resort, The Beach Club Resort. In addition to Stormalong Bay, there are three leisure pools. The resort offers daily activities such as pool parties and games.
The resort also offers an arcade (Lafferty Place Arcade), tennis, pickleball, volleyball, fishing, boat and cabana rentals, and a spa. The resort also offers movies under the stars, boat rentals, evening campfire, fishing, and specialty cruises.
